2024 Chevy Equinox EV | Mid-Size Electric SUV
The first ever Equinox EV is now available in MIAMI
The 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV is very different from the regular Equinox. Instead of running on gasoline, it uses electric power. The base model has front-wheel drive with one electric motor that produces 213 horsepower. You can also get an all-wheel-drive version with two motors, boosting the power to 288 horsepower. The front-wheel-drive version can go up to 319 miles on a full charge, while the all-wheel-drive version goes up to 285 miles.
The Equinox EV has a cool mix of futuristic and traditional SUV designs. It comes with many features, like GM's Super Cruise hands-free driving system. However, the inside isn't as roomy as you might expect. The Equinox EV is priced attractively, making it a good choice for people thinking about switching from a gasoline SUV to an electric one.

EV Performance
The Equinox EV will come standard with front-wheel drive. This setup will a single motor that is rated for 210hp. The dual-motor AWD configuration will output 290hp. Those who have driven an EV before will be familiar with the immediate power an electric motor delivers and shouldn't be surprised by the following performance estimates. GM says buyers can expect a 0-60 time of around 6 seconds (with eAWD) and towing of up to 1,500lbs.
Range & Charging Estimates
The base level Equinox EV comes with a smaller battery than the other trims and has an estimated range of 250 miles. The higher trim levels come with an expanded battery which GM says will deliver around 300 miles on a full charge. Models with AWD consume more power which result in the expected range to drop to about 280 miles.
All models support both Level 1 120V and Level 2 240V at home charging. Chevy estimates Level 2 home charging to add about 34 miles or range per hour of charging. Those on the go can tap into thousands of DC Fast Charge stations and can expect up to 70 miles of range in 10 minutes of charging.
